We do not charge customers for minor damages such as chips, small scratches and bumps. However, if you cause a larger amount of damage to the hire vehicle, we will need to claim insurance to pay for the repair. This insurance claim has a £1,000 excess meaning that the customer is liable to pay for the first £1,000 of the damage. The insurance covers the rest of the costs.

By purchasing this Excess Damage Cover of £5 per day the insurance excess is reduced from £1,000 to just £200. This means that in the event of an accident, the maximum amount a customer is liable to pay is only £200. Humble Hire will be responsible for all other damage costs.

How do I collect my car?

We will be there to greet you when you come through arrivals at the airport with everything you need.

For non airport hires we will deliver the car to you.

We make things simple- Insurance is included in the price of the car. No extra add-ons to pay!

The insurance has a £1,000 excess, meaning that the customer will be liable for the first £1,000 of any damage caused. The insurance will then cover all further costs over £1,000.

You can purchase Excess Damage Cover for £5 a day here. This will reduce the excess from £1,000 to just £200. The customer therefore has complete peace of mind that in the event of a motoring accident the maximum liability they would face is capped at £200.

On the day you return your vehicle the team will check the car over. If all is ok the refund will be initiated same day. This normally takes 2 working days depending on the bank.
